HSS AGM Sunday, July 26 th at 1:00pm
The HSS AGM re-scheduled for Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the temple/Gita Bhawan. We will review the public health restrictions and advisory closer to the proposed meeting date, and will host the meeting on a virtual platform if needed. The agenda and other details of AGM will remain the same as announced on March 20th and June 15th .
Because of current restrictions on the size of gatherings, only HSS members as of
July 24th will be allowed to attend AGM.
Call for Nominations for 2020-21, 2021-22 board positions
Hindu Society of Saskatchewan (HSS) is seeking nominations from volunteers for the following positions: Treasurer (1), Secretary (1), Facilities co-ordinator (1), community outreach and service co-ordinator (1), and members-at-large (2). These positions are for a two-year term. Key responsibilities of these positions are:
Secretary – maintain documentation for the management of Society business, manage correspondence, and compile the minutes of all board and membership meetings.
Treasurer – record the revenues, make deposits of revenues and required payments, prepare operational financial statements and maintain membership list.
Facilities co-ordinator: Chair of the committee for the maintenance of temple facility.
Community outreach and service committee Co-ordinator: Chair of the committee responsible for liaison with other organizations, website maintenance, update mailing list and newsletter etc.
Members-at-large: Duties as assigned by the board.

In addition to the mentioned specific responsibilities, all the board members are expected to participate in monthly board meetings, open the temple and facilitate weekly service 5-6 times a year and assist for other programs of HSS from time to time. The board members are expected to commit to volunteer at least 8-10 hours per month on an average.
